Oh Blair, how wrong you are!
HER FACE though, when she says she can only love Chuck by not being with him :(
this :))
“You don’t give up on the people you love!”
true.

“Fans of Chuck and Blair are a bit frustrated (to put it mildly) that yet another obstacle has been put in the duo’s road to happiness. “Of course we have to draw it out a little bit,” Safran explains, “but like when they say, ‘Why can’t Chuck and Blair just be together already?!’ and it’s like well if they were together then we’d have to break them up in five minutes.”—
~E!Online Gossip Girl Redux: Is There Hope for Chuck and Blair? Get the Scoop!
To which the following needs repeating…
“I’m hoping fans agree that the struggles Chuck and Blair keep coming up against are good struggles. It’s like just when they think they’ve conquered one aspect that was keeping them apart, another one pops up. I believe that is always going to be Chuck and Blair’s issue with each other.”“They just can’t seem to get it right. The thing is can Chuck and Blair ever be in a place where they can meet each other eye to eye or will one always a few steps ahead of the other? That’s never boring to me.”
~Josh Safran
OMG, this guy is ridiculous. “Good struggles”. I can’t. The only good thing about this: Chair is not over.
Correction: never over.
…………………. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think I gave this guy too much credit. And that’s fucking saying something because I barely gave him any fucking credit at all. What a moron. The struggles are not good. They’re fucking ridiculous and repetitive and contrived. “It’s like just when they think they’ve conquered one aspect that was keeping them apart, another one pops up.” Exactly. Another one pops up. Every time. Without fail. Literally right after they’ve just overcome the last one, in the same fucking episode. It’s happened six times now. In about a season and a half they’ve pulled this same shit with Chuck and Blair SIX FUCKING TIMES.
3x22:
- Chuck and Blair get back together after the whole Jack/hotel ordeal…
- Blair finds out Chuck slept with Jenny and, needless to say, leaves him again.
4x09:
- Chuck and Blair get back together at the Saints and Sinners party…
- Blair randomly realizes she needs to make a name for herself and she can’t do that while being Chuck’s girlfriend apparently so they let each other go.
4x10:
- Blair is reconsidering what she said in the last episode and clearly wants them to be together…
- But now it’s Chuck, all of a sudden, who thinks they shouldn’t be together right now.
4x18:
- Blair says her and Chuck are meant to be and there’s no point wasting time blah blah blah and she’s going to take him back…
- Chuck apparently does something horribly immature (not really) and Blair decides she can’t be with him after all cause he’ll never change yada yada yada
4x22:
- Chuck saves Blair, they sleep together, Blair’s prepared to go dump Louis because she wants to be with Chuck (brand new information, I know)…
- Chuck somehow convinces her to stay with Louis so she can have her happy fairy tale even though she was just about to end things with him a second ago… Okay then.
5x10:
- Chuck and Blair reunite once again and are going to be together forever and raise Blair’s baby and…
- Oh look at that! What are the odds!? They get in a car crash! Would you believe that? Chuck’s badly injured. Blair begs God to let him live and in return she’ll never be with him again.
……
And Josh thinks this is good? That this is good writing? That these are good struggles? That everyone’s enjoying this? That anything about all that CRAP up there is good? Really? Wow. Just wow.
Blair gave Chuck his humanity.
This is the BIGGEST reason why I will FOREVER believe that these two have TRUE Love, passionate, epic, all consuming, beautiful, strong, imperfectly perfect love.
Blair gave Chuck his humanity, or at the very least…she showed him he had one.
The first true smile I saw from Chuck Bass was caused by Blair Waldorf. (A true smile…those adorable “i am so happy” kind of smiles)
Blair made Chuck care about happiness, even when Chuck did not believe in it. He tells Nate that happiness is not for people like them…they are entitled to those things that come with their world…and that world doesn’t bring happiness. But when he falls for Blair…he seems to be so concerned with her happiness. He will not let himself get completely near her because he is afraid he will ruin it for her. The boy that doesn’t believe in happiness trying to secure it and hand it to the girl he loves.
Brings me to the other part…Chuck…he had known pain all his life…the pain of losing his mother…of not having a mother…of not knowing a mother…of not having someone that cared for him….of having his dad hate him and reject him…but he had never known heartache…Until a certain Blair Waldorf came along? remember…Chuck Bass losing something no one knew he had? his HEART? The boy without a heart…gets his broken by the one and only…Blair Waldorf.
Chuck has always been selfish…is his way of making up for everything that has gone wrong in his life. But the first person he is willing to sacrifice for? Blair Waldorf. He is willing to let her go as long as she is happy.
Chuck Bass first tears? Nothing breaks my heart more than seen this beautiful man cry. The times I have seen him cry concerned two people…Bart Bass and his death…and Blair Waldorf. No one else.
Chuck Bass putting his defense mechanism down and being vulnerable….only with Blair Waldorf. Need I remind you of the scene in the roof top? or on Blair’s bed after Bart’s death? Or when she gave Lord Marcus the pin? Or when he lost his mother for what a 2nd time? Chuck has only allowed ONE person to console him…her name? yup, Blair Waldorf.
Chuck Bass says “I love you too” ….say what???!?!?!?…..Correct me if I am wrong but…when did you EVER think this boy would say those words? and then never stop saying them?
Chuck Bass learns not to give up….it took him…idk 100000th times…but he learned. To fight for her….to fight for their love…not to give up. He learned to be vulnerable to risk it all. He learned to put his heart on the line for her.
Chuck Bass “I will love your baby as much as I love you”…kill me now. Chuck Bass wants a baby with her…the boy that NEVER had a family…wants one ….but just with one person…Blair Waldorf.
I don’t care what you say. I don’t care who you ship. I don’t care what you think about Chuck Bass. I don’t care what you think about Blair Waldorf. YOU CANNOT DENY SHE WAS THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO HIM. THEIR LOVE IS UNFORGETTABLE. NO ONE WILL EVER LOVE THEM OR BE LOVED BY THEM THE SAME WAY. It is impossible to erase Chuck Bass from Blair Waldorf’s heart. And it is impossible to erase Blair Waldorf from Chuck Bass’ heart.
In the end it doesn’t matter who they end up with…we all know…that if they end up with another person…they will always be in the shadows of this epic love. It has no comparisons. The simple/cute/boring love will be left in the shadows and Blair will never forget how she felt when Chuck told her “I love you too” and Chuck will never forget what it felt like to find his family in her.

“One thing I learned through my father’s courtship of Lily is the importance of perseverance, that in the face of true love you don’t just give up.”
“It’s one thing I learned from Blair. You don’t give up on the people you love.”
